As a newly qualified Part 1 or Part 2 graduate it can be very hard to get that elusive first job- particularly at a time when many companies are experiencing the problems of rising costs and clients whose margins are being squeezed. Many practices will be looking to keep their fixed costs as low as possible and may not have the luxury of time or money to take on inexperienced trainees. So for a recent graduate it’s a tough job’s market and gaining that vital experience can be difficult.
